Aston Martin
Aston Martin is a British Automotive brand synonymous with luxury and elegance. A fiercely independent spirit and a rich and prestigious history defines Aston Martin as truly unique in the automotive world. Founded in London, 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. The two had joined forces as ‘Bamford & Martin’ the previous year to sell cars made by Singer from premises in Callow Street, London. Martin raced specials at Aston Hill near Aston Clinton, and the pair decided to make their own vehicles.[16] The first car to be named Aston Martin was created by Martin by fitting a four-cylinder Coventry-Simplex engine to the chassis of a 1908 Isotta-Fraschini. Steered from 1947 by David Brown, it became associated with expensive grand touring cars in the 1950s and 1960s.
Being the make driven by James Bond in several films, it instantly established itself as a motoring movie star, an icon of style and speed with a compelling air of mystery. Aston Martin also has a very impressive racing pedigree including wins in class for the original racing DB2/4 and the David Brown designed DBR1. All Aston Martin's cars are handbuilt in Gaydon England and previously were built in Newport Pagnell ending with the final DB7.
Aston Martin’s unique personalisation service ‘Q’ allows the user to create a car that is truly their in every sense.
